The Tourism Department FAQ states Gilgit-Baltistan is accessible by air and by road, naming Gilgit Airport and Skardu International Airport. Road options include bus or private car from cities such as Islamabad or Lahore, daily buses operated by private companies and NATCO from Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and personal transport via the Karakoram Highway (KKH), Babusar Pass, and Shandur Pass. Schedules and fares are not invented here.
